Fitter / Welder

  • Gather required tools, equipment and materials in work area
  • Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly, using straightedges, combination squares, calipers, and rulers
  • Examine work pieces for defects and measure work pieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications
  • Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade, such as GMAW and GCAW welding equipment, arc air
  • Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind or bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding
  • Select and install torches, torch tips, filler rods, and flux, according to welding chart specifications or types and thicknesses of metals
  • Connect and turn regulator valves to activate and adjust gas flow and pressure so that desired flames are obtained
  • Verify all dimensions and record such dimensions on inspection sheets and data sheets for QA.

Skills & Experience

  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes
  • Good level of manual dexterity and hand / eye coordination
  • Ability to bend, crouch, and kneel as well as the ability to reach below, at and above shoulder height to repair and fabricate

Machinist and Machine Operator

  • Setup and operate a CNC Horizontal Boring Mills
  • Load the part onto machine table using overhead crane and choose appropriate lifting tackle required
  • Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, or materials onto machines
  • Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process
  • Calculate dimensions or tolerances, using instruments such as micrometers or vernier calipers
  • Machine parts to specifications, using machine tools
  • Measure, examine, or test completed units to check for defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments, such as micrometers
  • Maintain machine tools in proper operational condition
  • Comprehension of blueprints, drawings, or engineering information to determine methods or sequences of operations needed to fabricate products.
  • Check work pieces to ensure that they are properly lubricated or cooled

Industrial Painter

  • Use of spray equipment to apply paint and other materials
  • Clean and prep surfaces using such processes as sanding, scraping and grinding
  • Remove grease, dirt, paint, or rust in preparation for paint application, using abrasives, solvents, or sandblasters
  • Responsible for reading and reviewing the electronic paint specifications, apply primer, mix paint to the correct ratio as per paint specifications as well as apply paint based on the exact mil specifications required by our customer.
  • Pour paint into spray guns and adjust nozzles and paint mixes for proper paint flow and coating thickness
  • Monitor and identify flaws, such as blisters or streaks, and correct their causes
  • Sand surfaces between coats of paint or primer to remove flaws and enhance adhesion for subsequent coats
  • Disassemble, clean, and reassemble sprayers and power equipment, using solvents, wire brushes, and cloths for cleaning duties
  • Ensure all paint related waste is properly labeled, stored and disposed of
  • Maintain paint booth and associated equipment to ensure proper working condition
  • Ensure all Health and Safety procedures are followed

  • Clean, sand and prepare parts for painting
  • Clean paint prep and paint booth area
  • Operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, scale and other material from surfaces of metal parts, castings and other metal products
  • Immerse metal products in cleaning solutions
  • Assist welders, sheet metal workers, and metalworking machine operators
  • Transport raw materials and finished metal products manually or by hoists
  • Sort metal sheets and parts, scrap metal and other materials
  • Load and unload vehicles using hand truck or dolly

Production Planner

As the Production Planner, you will be working in close communication with management, engineering, and production employees on a daily basis.

  • Support and initiate Lean Practices in 5S, Kaizen and continuous improvements, value stream mapping and visual controls
  • Analyze jigs / fixtures using SolidWorks to ensure product accuracy and manufacturing efficiency
  • Coordinate manufacturing, engineering, and sales activities in accordance with the manufacturing plans so that production schedules can be attained
  • Develop manufacturing and processing procedures including detailed instructions, drawings, bill of materials, and inspection requirements for each project or work order
  • Solicit and analyze feedback from shop employees and sales to evaluate results
  • Apply statistical methods for improving utilization of personnel, materials and utilities
  • Schedule, expedite and coordinate the delivery and movement of critical material, including material transfers and inventory control
  • Prepare work and production schedules; monitoring the progress of production project
  • Revise and update production documents, procedures and drawings

Skills & Experience

  • Graduate of Mechanical Technician / Technologist Program or equivalent
  • Project Management Courses considered an asset
  • Comprehensive understanding of engineering drawings, schematics and specifications as well as geometric tolerances and dimensions
  • Detail oriented, accurate and efficient problem solving and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in Solid Works, proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with designing jigs and fixtures
  • Working knowledge of ERP / MRP systems
